It’s always great to have some facts and figures to support your more than intuitive take on a phenom. Here are some latest stats to bolster my sense that grandparents are indeed looking younger – because they are, and that this wonderful demographic does put the Foundation into family foundations!

The median age when men and women first become grandparents is 54 and 50, respectively.

There are 69.6 million grandparents in the USA; 54% (almost 38 million people) are younger than 65.

51% are baby boomers, born from 1946-1964.

The average a person becomes a grandparent is 50.
