Count Your Blessings Daily… To be Physically & Emotionally Fit

It seems pretty obvious, and most of us have known this all along, but now science has come to back it up with hard data  – be thankful, it’s good for you.

According to findings published in a recent Wall Street Journal article, grateful adults radiate optimism, happiness and good health, and tend to be more grounded and successful. And the same goes for children and teens –

“Kids who feel and act grateful tend to be less materialistic, get better grades, set higher goals, complain of fewer headaches and stomach aches and feel more satisfied with their friends, families and schools than those who don’t.”

This research, part of the “positive psychology” movement, was conducted over the past decade.

So start cultivating gratitude in yourself and your kids; it’s the best form of cognitive behavioral therapy out there. You’ll all feel better emotionally, psychologically and physically.
