Life’s a Marching Band – Reflections from the PHCA/CALM Convention
This year’s Pennsylvania Health Care Association (PHCA) and Center for Assisted Living Management (CALM) convention was held at the Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia, PA on November 13 & 14, 2012. PHCA/CALM represents well over 400 long term care and senior service providers across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Their members include for profit, non-profit facilities and county facilities. Their services run the full spectrum of long term care services from nursing homes, assisted living residences, personal care homes as well as ancillary care and home care and home health care enterprises. Hundreds of members and non-members attended their Convention and Trade Show.
As the premier resource for health care and rehab administrators in the Tri-State area, LTCAdministrator.com was prominently networking and building connections at the convention. The convention was filled with constant buzz as Long Term Care experts shared innovative ideas, health care professionals attended educational seminars and the marching band added to the spirit of the event. The musical selections were extremely apropos and really struck a chord for myself among many other attendees.
We are looking forward to a continued partnership with PHCA/CALM as well as the many health care professionals that we met at the convention.
